Thousands of searches every day fill the search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. One of the most popular searches out there is that regarding increasing ones income, and making money online. Incredibly enough, almost all of the “guru” websites completely ignore the best way to make money online: the method of keyword marketing.

Keyword Marketing Explained

Keyword marketing is a simple concept: it’s where you try to rank on Google for a specific keyword. Every day, thousands of people search for topics like “weight training” and “work out plans” and “online business” — a keyword marketer builds a website that shows up for a keyword like those.

It’s not that complicated. It’s actually pretty simple. My main website is in the top 4 results for “financial planning” which is a pretty profitable niche.

How to Actually Make Money

You make money online by selling affiliate programs and placing advertisements like AdSense in your content. You’ll read about the monetization of your website on dozens of websites… there are really hundreds of ways of building an income from the search traffic you get from your keyword marketing campaign.

The Keyword Marketing Plan

1. Pick Keyword. Pick a keyword that gets several hundred searches per day. Make sure there’s an affiliate program out there for something in that keyword. To check, just Google “[keyword] affiliate program”.

2. Write Content. Write 50 articles on your topic. You don’t need any more content than 50 articles. Even 30 should get the job done.

3. Link Building. Just find ways to get links to your website. Any link is better than no link. Guest posts, backlink networks — just build links. Spend your free time building links. This is the key to success.

This isn’t some kind of hypothetical “way” to make money. This is something I’ve been doing for over a year. I paid for college in my first six months. Keyword marketing is powerful, it works, and the gurus are pretending it doesn’t exist.
